With a built in muzzle brake and taper lock system, the NHS is designed to reduce concussion and to manage recoil, more so than to reduce sound levels. When you’re out shooting all day at the competition, its not the loudness that hurts you, its the muzzle blast. After shooting all day, that nasty headache will set in, maybe even sooner if you’ve been using a giant brake all day. The NHS makes that obsolete. A much quieter rifle, no concussion, and the recoil reduction of a muzzle brake. What’s not to love?
